Central Térmica Cogeneración Talara
Talara, Peru · 100 MW installed
The Talara Cogeneration Plant is located in the city of the same name, in northern Peru.
Grupo Albanesi began operating the plant in April 2024, after completing all the commissioning tasks required to start operations, such as testing the boilers and steam turbines, among others.
At the end of 2022, Grupo Albanesi was awarded by the Peruvian state-owned oil company Petroperú the operation, for a 20-year term, of a cogeneration plant in Talara that produces 100 MW and 900 t/h of process steam. The plant, located within one of the most modern deep-conversion refineries on the South Pacific coast, supplies it with steam, water and power under a long-term contract.
The start of operations is a significant milestone for Grupo Albanesi, as it is its first energy project outside Argentina, a recognition of its capabilities and expertise in power generation.
