Central Térmica Frías
Frías, Santiago del Estero · 60 MW installed
The Frías Thermal Power Plant is located in the town of the same name, in the province of Santiago del Estero. It has an installed capacity of 60 MW and is connected to the Argentine Interconnected System (SADI) through a transformer substation owned by TransNoa S.A., adjacent to the plant site.
Commercial operation began on December 5, 2015, after completing all the works required to install a new 60 MW turbine with PW Power Systems technology, similar to that used in other Grupo Albanesi plants such as Modesto Maranzana, Solalban and Independencia. The turbine is dual-fuel, operating on both natural gas and diesel.
