Central Térmica Ezeiza
Ezeiza, Buenos Aires · 300 MW installed
The Ezeiza Thermal Power Plant is located in Carlos Spegazzini, Ezeiza district, province of Buenos Aires. In April 2024 Grupo Albanesi completed the expansion and combined cycle closing works, doubling its installed capacity from 150 MW to 300 MW; the plant now operates at full capacity.
The expansion required an investment of over 220 million dollars and consisted of adding a new 50 MW Siemens SGT-800 gas turbine and two Siemens SST-400 steam turbines, creating jobs for more than 700 workers. The additional 150 MW injected into the power system will benefit more than 200,000 homes.
Located on an 11-hectare site, the Ezeiza Thermal Power Plant was inaugurated in 2017 after 11 months of work and an investment of 160 million dollars. In a first stage two 50 MW Siemens SGT-800 turbines were installed, and in a second stage a third turbine added another 50 MW.
